Miss Universe 2006 in Uruguay?
MASARAP basahin ang ilan pang detalye tungkol sa katatapos lang na Miss Universe pageant sa Website na GlobalBeauties.com. Kahit malungkot dahil 'di man lang nakapasok ang ating kandidatang si Gionna Cabrera, okay na rin dahil at least, may iniuwi pa rin siyang dalawang special awards, kabilang na ang pagiging Miss Photogenic. Narito po ang ilang cute at juicy tidbits na hango sa nasabing site. Dito n'yo malalamang 'di lang pala si Miss Peru, Debora Sulca, ang na-out balance at natapilok habang rumarampa sa stage sa swimsuit competition, gayundin sina Miss Spain at Miss Venezuela (sa ibang event nga lang):

• During the last round of media interviews, the Miss Universe 2005 delegates posed for photographs and some of them could not hide the happiness in their faces. So, we asked some of them about this, and they replied: "In only three days I will be going home! I miss my bed, my pillow, my computer, my boyfriend!" Other delegates said that the first thing they will reach when they get home, is their cell phone. "I must have like 2,000 missed calls!" a European delegate said.

• Some so called 'missologists' are claiming that they know who the 15 semifinalists are (which also happens every year). The truth of the matter is, this information is on a NEED TO KNOW BASIS, and if there was a leak, it would be enough grounds to have some people fired.
• Tourists in Thailand are complaining that taxi cabs are overcharging them, specially if they are going to the Impact Arena complex.
• 9,720 bottles of water were consumed by contestants; 3,000 light bulbs for the 'Starry Night' scene; 1,178 pairs of shoes brought by contestants; 500 pieces of luggage; 243 bottles of liquid make-up; 81 contestants; 23 meter-wide stage; four pallets of hair products; three meters wider than the stage at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles used for the Academy Awards; one elephant to make a dramatic entrance.
• Miss Spain tripped three times during her costume presentation while Miss Venezuela slipped on the runway during the fashion show, but saved her performance gracefully.
